Check-in Venue & Timing - Vivanta by Taj Hotel, Trivandrum / 1800 hrs

Guest have to board Maharaja Express at least an hour before the train’s departure time at the venue that is assigned inTrivandrumfor pre-boarding facilities. All the final details related to departure timings and venue will be emailed or handed over to you along with travel document and voucher, 14 days before to the departure date.

In the evening, assemble at Vivanta by Taj Hotel, Trivandrum. Complete the registration check in formalities for the Maharajas' Express. As you reach the railway station enjoy the warm traditional Indian welcome and welcome drinks. Board the luxury train and get comfortable in your cabin. Dinner is served in the luxurious restaurant on board.
Overnight stay on train, as the train proceeds to its next destination Chettinad.
Have your nutritious breakfast on-board as the train arrives at Chettinad. Get excited for your day trip in the city. The major sightseeing destinations would be majestic chettinad mansion and Athnagudi tile factory, where you can watch the local craftsman making tiles with hands.
Later you can visit the famous heritage hotel of Chettinad for enjoying interesting activities like dhoti/sari draping and Henna Art.
Return to the train, time at leisure, enjoy the facilities and services of maharaja’h express.
Relish you lunch and dinner on board.
Overnight stay on train
Have a wholesome breakfast on board. Disembark from the train, take a day trip to the UNESCO world heritage site of Mahabalipuram group of monuments.
You can visit to the historical port town, where the sea trade with South Asian countries flourished.
Later you can visit the monuments which are just 40 mins away from the train station. Major attractions would be Arjuna’s Penance, 5 Rathas and shore temple.
Lunch is arranged for you at an elite location with the folk dance performance
Return to the train for dinner and overnight journey to Mysore.
Have your breakfast on board. Enjoy a day trip to majestic Wodeyar palace, also known as Mysore palace. The royal family of Mysore still resides in it.
The palace is one of the largest South Indian palaces complex. The complex include various structures like gardens, 2 ceremonial halls and number of courtyard .
Lunch is arranged for you at the Lalita Mahal Palace Hotel. This is a heritage property which was constructed in 1920’s by Wodeyars specially for the viceroy of india. The major attraction in the palace are ball room, viceroy hall and the restaurant.
Later you can go to visit Shreerangpatnam the capital of Tipu Sultan.
Return to the train for dinner and overnight stay on board as the train proceeds to it’s next destination Hampi.
Have a wholesome breakfast on board, thereafter take a day trip of the city, go to the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE site of Hampi. Here you will mostly see Dravidian style of architecture, there is a huge area located to these stone structures.
Popular temples that you can visit Ganesh statue, Virupakrsha temples, Narasimha statue and the elephant stables.
The musical pillar temples and the stone chariot temples are not to be missed.
Lunch is arranged for you on board.
Later in the evening you can visit Anegudi village, which is right accroas the Tungabhadra River. Here you can interact with the locals and get to know about their daily lifestyle.
The other option is that you can rejuvenate yourself by a spa session at a popular city hotel.
Dinner is arranged on board.
Overnight stay on the train.
Enjoy your ¬¬hearty breakfast on board. Embark for your day trip to Goa. Here you will visit the UNESCO world heritage site, Basilica of Bom Jesus that preserves the mortal remains of Saing Francis Xavier.
Thereafter you will go to Se cathedral which is right opposite to Bascilica of bom jesus.
Lunch is arrange at an elite location.
Later in the evening you can go for a walking tour to the old Panjim. The architecture of the houses here have a mix of Portugal and Goan culture.
Return to the train for special evening with drinks and dinner at luxurious restaurant.
Over night journey as the train proceeds for its next destination Ratnagiri.
On the 7th day have a scrumptious breakfast on-board. Get excited to explore the city Ratnagiri, it is a blessed of beauty and history.
Your day is planned in such a way that you will see Ratnadurg fort ruins, Thibaw Palace and Toms. You can also visit the government aquarium.
Return back to the train as Lunch is arranged for you on-board.
Rest of the time is on leisure. Enjoy the facilities and services of maharaja’h Express.
Overnight journey on train as it reaches its last destination Mumbai.
Early morning have scrumptious breakfast on board. Disembark from the maharaja’s express in Mumbai. Bid goodbye as the journey comes to an end.
