There are 14 total carriages which can accommodate 88 guests in Maharaja Express, all these cabins got their name from after various precious stones such as Feeroza (Turquoise), Heera (diamond), Pukhraj (Sapphire),Moti (Pearl), Monga (Coral),Neelam (Blue Sapphire), and so on.
Luxury cabins are fitted in these carriages. There are four types of cabins such as Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite and Presidential Suite.
The Presidential Suite which is also known as Navratna, is extended in an entire carriage. It has two bedrooms, , a separate living area, a dining room and a modern private bathroom with a bath tub.
The tasteful interiors and the royal décor has been inspired by the erstwhile royalty of the country which is unmatched. The cabins are decorated withrich tapestry, semi-precious stones, wall-to-wall carpeting, upholstery, linen, and antiques.
